    Description

    Mixed Lot Project Aero Instruments
The Good, The Bad and The Ugly.
.. not just a great western movie from back in the day but a great description of this instrument lot.
Seventeen (17) pieces total of what appears to be GA and Mil series instruments. All are in varying degree of need so these are clearly part sources and have issues as noted wherever possible. Sad little faces, broken little cases. This is the "dross pile" of improperly handled aero instruments we'd acquired from a surplus lot.
They've been dropped or rough handled. Some have broken glass. One looks as if it had water damage. Some have dented cases. They're distressed in some way, shape or form. There's probably some parts stuff here that may be helpful if you play with that sort of thing. And, in the past, we've had requests from film industry for broken stuff specifically for art department to build up crashed and damaged components for set dressing panels. Whatever your need, they're all here and will fit into one USPS Flat Rate L-A-R-G-E Box for shipping. They just need to find a good home and my preference is not to toss 'em. One DF looks really nice but has a nicked connector end.
Most appear to be contemporary - recent stuff. A few are clearly old military. That said of the latter we HAVE NOT CHECKED RADIUM CONTENT and aren't able to do so. If you're concerned about rad content with old instruments, please don't bid on these. One of them - a 2" localizer looking beastie - IS visibly "hot" and smiles at me in the dark. Not enough here to get the NRC involved, but some people get really, really whacked out over exposure possibility like my buddy Dave.
Came to us in a warehouse inventory from a closed avionics shop. Interesting, but they take up hangar space and project room, and all of that boils down to noting they're in the way. Look at the pictures. This is THE lot you will end up with.
Shipped with USPS Priority Mail. The Flat Rate Large Box is probably the best transport option for the money and we'll wrap each and protect with shred paper in box for dunnage. As I continue to clean the shop there's also possibility this lot could increase with one or two more units before auction is done. Questions? Always, ask them. We're here to help and to move these things along. Thanks for looking!
